The Reason Hell Exists

On this sixth anniversary of the terrorist attacks upon America I am reflecting not only upon the thousands of civilians murdered by those men but upon the demon which spawned such an event.
Many would have us blame "Islamic Fascism" or "Radical Islam". Those poor deluded practitioners of fundamental islam are not our enemies. They are deceived men and women who bought the lie that a god (notice the small "g") named allah exists. Perhaps he does exist. But if so, allah does not exist as a true deity. Allah - if indeed there is a spiritual being who answers to that name is merely another fallen angel; a demon. As a demon allah then knows his destiny is not glory and the free dispensing of virgins to satisfy his lust infested minions. The judgement destiny of allah is hell.
In Matthew 25:41 we read in the parable that the king on the day of judgment will say to those on his left

"depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels..." (Emphasis Added)

The lesson therefore is clear. God (The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) has prepared an end for allah. God created an eternal fire which will never be extinguished; and in that eternal fire the demon allah will burn for an eternity of torment because of his rebellion against the Almighty God who is both loving and just as well as gracious and merciful.
It is said that the angel "gibril" (often assumed to be gabriel) brought the messages of the Quran to the prophet mohammed. I for one do not doubt that Mohammed was in fact visited by an angel who gave him these messages - though I do not believe it was the Gabriel who brought the message of the incarnation to Mary.

2 Corinthians 11:14 informs us that the devil himself "disguises himself as an angel of light." If Mohammed was visited by an angel - than it was indeed a servant of the devil himself (if not the devil?) A demon delivered those messages to Mohammed and he, being decieved, recorded them as the Quran / Koran.
The rest of the passage in 2 Corinthians says,

"Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds." (Emphasis Added)

After God created the heavens and the earth, Satan rebelled and he took a rather large group of the other angels with him. God however did more than merely separate those fallen angels away from himself - he created a punishment appropriate for the rebellion they had pursued. God created hell as a place of punishment for Satan and his angels. It says so right there in Matthew 24:41.

So today as I remember the horrors of 9-11 I also remember the horrified demons who pleaded with Jesus,

"what business do we have with each other, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?"

The demons know that judgement has already been pronounced - they will suffer for eternity once their time has been fulfilled.

Do you understand the implications of the reason we have hell? Many times I hear people ask, "Why would such a loving God create a place of such unimaginable terror and torment for people he created in His own image?" It is a very powerful question but it is misguided. Take a moment to percieve the answer. God did not create hell for people. God created hell for the demons. Again look at Matthew 24:41. Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels; because of their rebellion.

The writer of Hebrews has said it:

"assuredly He [God] does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham." (Hebrews 2:16)

God the Father sent his son so that he could provide help to the descendant of Abraham. Here I think he is talking about those who have faith. See Romans 4 where Paul tells us that the children of Abraham are those who have faith.
God gave everything in order to ensure that humans did not have to go to hell if they will only come in humble repentance and accept the sacrifice of the now risen savior.

Hell was created for the devil and his demons - it is the greatest tragedy of all eternity that any human will ever go there.

And so I am torn today with grief. I grieve the dead of course. But even more, I grieve the millions who have been decieved into following a fallen angel. The end will come just as it has been written. But my earnest plea and prayer is for the repentance and salvation of millions of Muslims.

Oh my God please draw them to yourself! Be merciful father for they are decieved. Drive out the demons who lie to them and help empower their hatred. Clear the pathway of heaven for them Father and help them - OH God help them to see Jesus! Do not let your enemy claim triumph as he takes millions to the grave, for the sake of your great name display Jesus for them all clearly to see - and bring salvation to the Muslim nations! I plead this in Jesus' glorious name.
Amen

Dear Muslim,
take this opprotunity to come to know (John 17:3) the true and loving God and let Allah be damned alone.

Even so, come Lord Jesus.

I'll read it again more thoughtfully when time permits.

Just talking about this with a friend last night.
Do you think perhaps the prince of Persia (Daniel 10:13) could be ruling demonic influence over terrorism?

Territorial Spirits, it

Territorial Spirits, it could be argued, are angelic powers who have either authority or a special interest in a given territory. The Daniel 10:13-21 (and beyond) reference permits for Michael being the holy angel who is given the special task of guarding the nation of Israel. Michael is again mentioned in the book of Jude in an aside regarding that archangels argument with Satan himself. Interestingly enough Jude is referencing that story from the ancient apocryphal book of Enoch. Without drawing any other conclusions right here I would safely assume that it does demonstrate that at least Michael had the responsibility to guard Israel for many generations from at least Moses to Daniel's time and by mere conjecture into today's time.

We might also presume from the Daniel description that the Prince of Persia is an Evil Angel or Demon who has been given responsibility (by Satan) over the territory once known as Persia - which is more widely known today as Iran. I would consider it to be consistent to assume that the Prince of Persia is still in charge of the same region. (Perhaps I should refer to him as the Prince of Iran?)

Territorial Spirits is one of the most controversial talking points within the realm of Spiritual Warfare studies. Usually this is because it is rather over-zealously applied with far too little Biblical input. Any further expansion should go into a different post.

Now with all of that having been said I can answer your question - or at least attempt to.

In a word: No. I do not believe that the demonic power known in Daniel as the "Prince of Persia" is necessarily in charge of terrorism today. But then again we must be honest: there is absolutely no way to know, which means any answer to the question, including mine is nothing but pure conjecture.

So why would God help the

So why would God help the children of Abraham and not the angels? Why would He abandon the fallen angels to their fate and yet do so humiliating - unthinkable - a thing as killing his son in order to rescue men, who are so much weaker and less noble than the angels? Why choose Abraham, Moses, the Jews, Paul, the Corinthians? Why would he choose me, guilty, grouchy, unsightly, an old rebel, one who knew and ignored the truth?

Hah! He has done what He has done for his own glory and for reasons inscrutable to man. He has rescued us! May his glory be expressed in rescuing so many others both raised in His church and from among the Muslims, the New Agers, the atheists, the Buddhists and so on. Thanks be to God!

Please correct the 2 typos of Mathew 24:41 which should be Mathew 25:41

Thanks

the reason hell exists

What is the significance of the fact that the doctrine of "Hell" (Gehenna) is only found on the lips of Jesus to his Jewish brethren except once in James who also wrote to a Jewish, though Messianic, audience?

How did Paul fail to carry this doctrine 101 to the Gentiles?

Lastly, is it fair to say that the Gospel was preached more as a way to receive eternal life than as a way to escape eternal punishment?
