St. Bernard of Clairvaux resources in PBB Format

It is with trepidation that i post these resources. Bernard was a catholic, and to a post-catholic like myself, his veneration of Mary is too much. We honor Mary, as being the chosen vessel to bring forth the Savior into this world; but we should never make her more than a sinner also saved by grace just like you and me. Anyway, Martin Luther quotes this man over 500 times in his writings; and now you have them in Logos for your reading pleasure.

God bless!

Reading Bernard, St. John of the Cross, Madame Guyon etc.

Joe,

For thirty years, I have loved to read almost all of the mystics' writings. I am so glad you are including them in the PBB assortment! Mostly, they are a source of inspiration for me to press on to know the Lord more intimately and also a source of devotion-some of the one liners seem to infuse me with holy passion. Filtering out the error is somewhat rote behavior for me. So, thank you for your boldness to do what sounds like was something difficult for you. God Bless. And IMHO, I believe they are really in the category of Classics.

Bernard

I admire Bernard. I stay with some frequency at the Abbey of Gethsemane in Ky., which is run by the Cistercian monks, the order founded by Bernard some 900 years ago.

BUT, Bernard put the hit on my man, Abelard. A black mark!
