Google Does Timelines
Google Labs has a new toy for displaying timelines generated by Web data... The tests I did show promise, but theres still much room for improvement... Here is the link for Israel: http://www.google.com/views?q=Israel+view%3Atimeline
At the time I ran the query, It came up with a decent timeline of modern Israel, but none on Historic (Biblical) Israel... Clicking on the map tab from that page did give some nice links with info on a Google Map...
I encourage everyone to try out this tool, and send Google feedback on how to make it better... Meantime, l
ooks like Logos has nothing to worry about yet...

Finally got to a location where I'm allowed to use Firefox... (Believe it or not, it's not allowed at some of the locations I connect from...) Anyway, attached you will find the current versions of my Visual Markup Files, along with the Timeline installation instructions I put together... My next file will be simple instructions for installing markups....
God Bless,

Have you tried firefox on a memory stick? (take a look at http://portableapps.com/)
As for the timeline that's very cool. The one for Haiti was interesting and provided a neat overview.

Yep, even use it when I can... We are just banded from using unapproved software where I usually am during the day when I'm online, and IE 6 is the only approved browser... I don't go online at home that often as I only have dial-up there, but I visit Panara about once a week where they have free hi-speed WiFi... Fortunately, my files are small and I don't generate them all that fast so I should be able to keep up now... (Mostly just been too tired at night to go online...)

Hi John, Greetings from
Hi John,
Greetings from Managua, Nicaragua. Thanks for your really cool stuff.
I downloaded the 2 pallettes Johns Copy of IBY.lbxvmp and Solids.lbxvmp, but my Libronix program doesn't seem to want to recognize them. It does display the Precepts Inductive Bible Study Visual markup style, so shouldn't have any trouble with the new ones. I tried several different ways of copying them to the folders documents\libronix DSL\ResourseMarkup\General Markup_files as per the .pdf instructions, and reload the program, but it never seems to recognize the 2 new pallettes. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mark
The website is not working
The website is not working correctly right now... It is possible the files are corrupted... Please wait a few days until we can repair things here, then try downloading the files again... (I think the PDF might be corrupted too... The path is suppose to be My Documents\Libronix DLS\VisualMarkupPalettes if you want to give that a try in the mean time... I just noticed a minor mistake in my instructions so will repost a corrected version after the site is repaired anyway...)
God Bless,
John

John,
Thanks. I was able to find a public computer (I miss my laptop...) I was able to purge some faulty caches I think it should be ok now. I don't have access to Libronix but I was able to download and test the PDF and that worked just fine.
Looks good so far... God
