Step 5 Publishing and Sending

  1. The log message is just to let me and other administrators know what you were thinking. It's not always important but if you're going to do something different, make a note of it and let me know why. I don't freak out this way. :-)
  2. PUBLISHING OPTIONS. Please expand this section and mark the "Published" check box if you want to make this live. The default is not to publish so that we don't make mistakes we soon regret. :-)
  3. Click preview and then click submit when you're satisfied with what you're seeing. Keep in mind that if you click preview the webfm file may need to be re-attached to the node. Click submit when you're ready to go live via both email and web.
  4. There are actually two events happening when you submit a newsletter.
    • The newsletter is submitted to the front page and is marked as published to the web.
    • The newsletter is sent out via email. Keep in mind that the newsletter can send anytime you click submit even if you do not mark it as published.
    • Please make sure to check the "send" section to determine if this email will be sent out. (If you don't want it sent while you work on the newsletter make sure to check the "don't send" section.)

Remember

This newsletter will go out to hundreds of people and you can't "get it back" make sure you want to send what you send.
