Ok, this is blatant "beg bait" so what. I just noted over Here That Michael Heiser has indeed started the sequel to the Facade. If you missed that little tidbit of information than you can read about it. As well as my original (and recent) Facade review.

If I win, I get to be a character in the next novel. And it sounds like I won't just get killed off in chapter one. I might even make it to chapter 11! Just don't tell my investment adviser if that happens.

As I was looking over past Truth is Still Truth postings, especially ones which discussed the potential and, at times, prohibitive cost involved in creating and maintaining a worthwhile Bible software library, I was reminded of a online discussion that took place not too long ago on the "family forum" of my home church. It was about Christian books we enjoyed and benefited from reading, specifically (this day) about the different works of John Piper. As one who owns both the 24-book John Piper collection for WORDsearch (I got it before Logos announced plans to publish the books in the Libronix format) and Piper's Sermon collection in Libronix, I jumped right in.

If you are planning on selling any of your Logos Library resources or if you ever purchase used Logos Bible products or add-ons that other people are no longer using, like I have done on occasion to build up my personal library, be aware that Logos now charges a 10% "processing fee" for the transfer of any of their products. Regardless of what you THINK about Harry Potter (I've been on both sides of the arguments) you can't get past the fact that the seventh and final book of the series releases on Saturday.  The title, "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows" has triggered lots of conjecture but I think the answer is linked to the legends of King Arthur. 

Yesterday I was gazing mournfully at my Bible.  Not because I had once again read something in it which challenged my flesh.  (I actually like it when that happens).  But rather I was mourning the impending death of another friend.  My Bible is battle scarred to be certain.  Much reading and frequent notes have rendered many of it's pages wrinkled and thoroughly inked.  (Incidentally it's my Bible you're looking at in the top left corner of the site.)  The cover is ratty and the leather is giving way.  The Binding is now pulling away from several pages w

I'm completely flabbergasted that the counter here is rolling closer to 50,000 visitors. So for a little fun I think I'll stick a few semi-random books into a box and get it ready for posting to the person who hits the magic number. Of course I have a fair collection of overflowing bookshelves so let's select the books as well.

As if I've never mourned

I've never been able to read one book at a time. Chalk it up either to being moderately ADHD or over-juiced on caffeine; whichever you prefer. So this is what I'm reading at the moment.
