Notes

A Truly Beautiful Bible

Over on the Bible Design and Binding blog I was reading a post on Note-taking Systems for your bible when I linked to the Thomas Newberry Bible housed at the Dallas Theological Seminary Library:

Transfering Notes

My Bible and a cup of Coffee

I mentioned yesterday that I was copying notes from my old bible to me new one. That is only half true. Years Ago, when I started walking in faith I was given a Ryrie Study Bible (NIV).

Databases on PPC and Libronix

In programming for the Windows Mobile devices, there is very little memory to work with, and only a subset of tools that one is used to using in the Windows PC world... It turns out that I did find a way to overcome most of the limitations by using SQL Server Mobile... It supports up to a 2 Gig database, which is the limit of most Storage Cards... The problem is that Microsoft did not make it as easy to install for non-programmers, and that it is very slow to start up...

If someone does start using the source code I posted last week, I would recommend looking at SQL Server Mobile...

Another software tool I have found is the Mono Open Source Project (on SourceForge) which allows one to compile Visual Studio code on a Linux platform... This is something I would love other programmers to look at... (Hint Hint Logos)

In other news, due to the Daylight Savings Time changes (shades of the Y2K bugs), I will be busy at work late into the nights this week, so my timelines are on hold for now...

God Bless...

Source to John's NoteReader for PPC Demo

For those who want to play with the source code until I look at it again, here it is... All I ask is that if you do modify the code, send me a copy or contact me so I can add it to the "official build"... This is Visual Studio .NET 2005 code in case I forgot to say this before...

Time to go shovel snow so I can go to work tomorrow...

God Bless,
