Onology

Foolish Discourse. Not truly an "ology" in the sense of a search for truth - but then again onolgy by definition is foolish. This is where all the junk that doesn't fit elsewhere goes

Another example of ignorance destroying lives

Whoever said ignorance is not deadly has never heard of the Salem witch trials; or for that matter of the witch trials still going on. I was sickened by an article on so called 'Child-witches' in Nigeria. Here's a sampling:

The Heaviest Element Known to Science

in

I got this in my email this morning and couldn't stop giggling. Yes it's foolish but it's also funny.

Lawrence Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet
known to science.

The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant
neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving
it an atomic mass of 312.

bhut jolokia

in

I have long been fond of Hot peppers.  I've long since outgrown the howls of pain that once accompanied the mild jalepeno pepper, and habanero's now find their way into my home made salsa and occasionally a raw nibble.  But the latest news to make my mouth water is the impending arrival of the bhut jolokia - the ghost chili.

mind games

This is completely worthless but every once in awhile it's fun to do something senseless for a few moments.  I picked this up over at Linux Reviews

Ah, Chocolate

Sweetriot

sweetriot If you're gonna do chocolate for that special someone on Valentines day do it like this. Take cacao (chocolate) beans, coat them with 70% dark chocolate and add a touch of espresso and you've got a very small chocolate snack that is more satisfying than an entire Hershey bar.
