President Barack Hussein Obama II

Barack Hussein Obama II 44th President of the United States of America

President Barack Obama is the first black man to attain the highest office in America and I congratulate him, though I did not vote for him.

I also will be praying for him as the president elect and later as president. For the next four years come what may he holds the helm and we are plainly told in God's word what our duty is.

Some Trust in Chariots

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” (Ps 20:7, ESV)

Trust In God not in Presidents

I want to talk to you about a brutal dictator. He was an idolater who worshipped many gods believing them to be superior over everyone else's. He wasn't exactly anti-semitic but that's only because he not only hated, murdered, and brutalized the people of Israel; but that he hated, murdered and brutalized everyone. He was a king with unrivalled power – a power not balanced in any way by parliaments or advisers. His command was met with either instant obedience or instant death – there was no other option. It's fair to say that he ruled over his vast empire with an iron fist soaked in blood.

One historian described the full reign of this brutal and tyrannical king in terms of truly absolute power:

“...all the peoples, nations and men of every language feared and trembled before him; whomever he wished he killed and whomever he wished he spared alive; and whomever he wished he elevated and whomever he wished he humbled...” (Daniel 5:18-19)

The past and the present parade past us a stream of leaders, Stalin, Gorbachev, Kennedy, Clinton, Bush, Nero, Domitian. Whether we deem them good, evil or somewhere in between, how do these people obtain power? How did George Washington become the first president of the United States or Hitler control Germany? How indeed did Kim Jong Ill become North Korea's so called “beloved leader” and Saddam Hussein lose power in Iraq?

Obama's Path of Destruction

Past

Breaking the sixth commandment is a hallmark not only of his past politics but also his determined future should he obtain office.

Judging President Bush

President George W. Bush (42nd President of the United States)

I was watching, of all things, a commercial from John Hancock this morning. The end of the completely silent advertisement (The reason I looked up was because the room was suddenly quiet) exhorted the potentially wealthy to use John Hancock to "Protect your legacy."

Palin Rocks!

Sarah Palin

There it is, on the record.

I approached last nights RNC Palin speech with some degree of doubt. I struggled with the reasons Why McCain may have actually picked Palin, especially in light of the early picking apart she seemed to be undergoing in the mainstream media.

And then two things happened...
