Verses: 1 Kings 8:16-24 and 2 Chronicles 21:1-20

Jehoram became king of Judah when his father Jehoshaphat died
- Jehoram killed his brothers
- He was evil like Ahab's family (Jehoshaphat married him to Ahab's daughter)
- Edom and Libnah revolted because he had forsaken God
- Letter arrived from Elijah saying Jehoram's possessions and family would suffer great calamity and that he would die with his bowels coming out because of his walking in the way of Ahab
- Philistines and Arabians invaded taking his possessions, wives, and all his sons except for the youngest, Jehoahaz
The Lord gave Jehoram an incurable illness of the bowels
Jehoram died painfully as his bowels fell out due to his illness
- No one regreted his death
- He was buried in Jerusalem but not in the tombs of the kings
- His son Ahaziah (Jehoahaz) became king in his place
